Overview

Elena obtained her PhD in Accounting and Finance at Durham University Business School, UK, specializing in the field of corporate social responsibility and financial performance.

She previously completed her MA in Islamic Banking, finance and management at the Gloucestershire University, UK and achieved her MA in accounting and finance from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated with her BA in Economics from Anadolu University, Turkey. Elena’s research interests include social and environmental disclosure, corporate financial performance, corporate governance, ethical issues in Islamic banking and finance.
